A short history of
Zero-trust Packet Routing (ZPR)
ZPR was created by Danny Hillis and the team at Applied Invention as a fundamentally new approach to secure networks and data. The ZPR protocol is how the Internet protocol could have been designed from the start if modern security technologies had been available. Our goal is to leverage this new technology to make the world a safer place.
To support the widest adoption possible of ZPR and promote collaboration and interoperability, it will be made available as an open standard with an open-source reference implementation. This will be done as part of an industry-wide initiative with Oracle, major technology providers, cloud partners and other leading organizations from across industries.
Oracle plans to release the Oracle Zero-Trust Packet Routing Platform compatible with the new standard to help organizations prevent unauthorized access or use of their data without adding extra hurdles for legitimate activities.
